Blown Dash Lights

Blown Dash Lights
This is the second thread I've started concerning this.
2002 2.5 X Type. My dash lights have quit, almost! I was behind the ashtray checking the power to the cigar lighter as the light didn't seem to work. I think I arced something as I saw a small spark. Since then the interior lights, dash, steering wheel, door, radio, don't work. They will come on for a few minutes then quit. After maybe 30 minutes they'll come on again. I've checked the fuse F97, it's fine. So I'm thinking I may have messed up something in the light switch assembly. I've ordered a used one from eBay. Should get it by next week.
Does anyone have any other ideas? Or am I thinking in the right direction at least.
Oh, is the light switch assemble easy to remove? It looks like it's just pried out.
Thanks.
