I have the Jaguar plastic fitted liner for my Sportwagon - it is a very snug fit and comes with a mesh anti-slip throw to put over it. It provides 100% protection for the carpeted area. Because it is made of firm plastic and is a tight fit it requires just a bit of manoeuvring to get in and out but if you are transporting dirty things (which, in my case includes my German Shepherd) then it is perfect.

Thanks sov211. I now realise I need one that will cover the full surface when seats folded back....one option would be to get a boot liner which I'd leave in pretty much most of the time and then some additional cover for the back of of the folded rear seats when carrying the MTB. (or I could just buy a rack and carrier for the roof...but I'm costing all options).

I presume you have the Jag boot liner - does it have a 'lip'? or does it sit flat when the rear seats are down?

cheers for your help.

I have a jaguar boot liner for my saloon but it will have probably some common features.
It has quite a tall lip all the way round. Some folks cut the left side rear lip so that access to the Sat Nav /CD auto changer is possible without taking the liner out. If you are not going to keep in the car then remember to is quite large to store.

My liner has a leaper moulded into it
Petrol will remove the paint on the liner ( I know from experience)

An example from Ebay. I notice there are hoels for tie downs which are not in the saloon version.
