Which exhaust did you get and how much did it cost you? I'm in the market for an exhaust and was about to shell out the cash for the Borla.

Yes mine sounds like a deep burble at idle and take off but not much different at motorway speeds.I had the choice of how Iwanted it to sound on a sliding scale from quiet to real noisy.
Here is another one done from the place I got mine..(pic not too good but fills alternative bumper out good):-

Compared to mine (slight cut out of valence not difficult):-

Sounds nice!

What do you guys think is the best exhaust for the price? Borla, Remus, or Arden?

I'm strongly interested in buying an exhaust for my X, any suggestions or recomendations?

now that i heard the borla, its only a matter of time. i think the remus/arden are quiter. they had a sound clip on jaguar XP, i dont know if they are still there. I love the way the borlas fill out the cutouts. I knew that little motor would sound good if opened up. Does anyone here have XP's mina intake? if i get the exhaust, ill get the intake to match. any reviews?

Rather than blowing a ton of dough on an aem exhaust/custom exhaust, has anyone tried opening up the exhaust?

i.e. a glasspack/ piping in place of the resonator...not straight pipe as you'd probably get drone/rasp-mania, but like a magnaflow pipe. I haven't taken a great look, but the entire exhaust system seemed pretty sufficient for 2.5/3.0L NA application. What is it, 2.25" to 2.5"? So I'm thinking opening up the resonator will increase sound output while freeing up a couple of ponies as well, depending on how detrimental the resonator is to exhaust output.

Not meaning to change gears from this post, both exhausts are beautiful. Though the first one would make me weary to cut so much into the bumper. Yours looks more subtle and stock.

So, I'm curious...about how much must one spend for the borla exhaust system and how much for the new intake system, in US $ ??
