Default Brake Clips

I have a 2005 Jaguar X-Type and I've noticed a rattling noise when I go over bumps. It is really noticeable with the windows down. I brought it in and the guy told me the brake pads are fairly new but missing their clips or something on the rear left pad and that's causing the rattling. Does anyone know anything about this or where I can get these clips?

mak, I would say to save yourself some work and get yourself some "brake pad adhesive". It comes in a 4 ounce bottle and what you will do is remove the pad and put a little on the surface where the pad and the caliper meet. This will keep the pad firmly attached to the caliper for the outside pad and to the piston for the inside pad. This will get rid of the rattling that you are hearing assuming it is the pads that is the issue.
