Default Brake lights?!?!?!

Hey guys!
Well today as I was driving to the pharmacy, I notices a lot red light in my rear view mirror, turns out that the brake lights are on, while I am not pressing the brakes. I tried to slam them and what not, no solution. What do you guys think the problem is? The brake lights turn on as the car turns on, so apparently it thinks the brakes are being applied. I am not driving the car until this gets sorted because it is dangerous.

ok after making a quick google search and looking at the brake pedal, the gray switch has seemed to come off the mount, it looks as if the pegs that hold it in place have broken. Were can i get a replacement or how should i go about fixing this? When i manually depress the button on the sensor the brakes lights go away. Do you think some glue or epoxy can be used? Or should i buy a new switch all together?

The part is about $15 at your friendly Jaguar dealer. If the pins are broken off (which hold it in place), I'd buy a new one rather than try to fix it. According to my friendly Jaguar dealer's parts guy this is a fairly common problem.
