Unhappy Brake problems???

Hi everyone, am new here just bought a 2002 Jaguar x-type and love it So I have this problem I replaced front rotors and all break pads because I was having a hard time braking. The problem would go away when the abs light would come on though. The rotor that had the most damaged was front drivers side, short story I replaced rotors and pads and still have the same problem, could my caliper be bad or what could it be please help.

When you did the brakes on the front did you have any problem pusing pistons back into caliper? Did the pads and rotors look as they had been heated pretty extensive? This is an 11 yr. old car, you did not say how many miles? Have the rubber hydralic lines been changed in the last 5 yrs.? So, problem lies between deteriated hoses or overheated and sticking calipers, if no ABS codes! Hard to pinpoint without actually seeing the system.

It has 75,000 miles when I did the breaks on the front rotors it was kinda hard to push back in. Lines didn't seem to be in bad shape, I haven't been able to check for abs codes. I was thinking maybe the front driver side caliper is dragging but not sure.

You can change the whole braking system and still have ABS codes. I changed to drilled rotors and carbon pads. Replaced the fluid and still had ABS problems. Look first at taking off the wheel speed sensors and giving them a good clean. That may be it. If not you are starting to look at paying for parts.
But get the codes and you should get your answers.

When you pushed in the cups did you crack the bleeder on the caliper or just push the old fluid back in?
