Check for better prices

Jaguar X Type (Mondeo Chassis) From Years: All years Goodridge 'PHANTOM' STAINLESS STEEL BRAKE LINE KITS (Stainless Steel Fittings) 4 Line Kit

For the pads EBC redstuff or yellowstuff are options

EBC Brakes | EBC Brake Pads | EBC Brake Discs

Paul, I have upped the brake performance on my car. I did it with 2 things. I am first running 235/40R17 wheels (1 step up from the factory wheels that came with the car). So, I have an extra 10mm of tread width making contact with the road.

The other thing I did was I got on e-bay and bought a cross drilled/slotted rotor kit through BrakeMotive. The kit cost me $180 USD for all 4 rotors and ceramic pads all the way around. Install is easy. If you can change brake pads, you can install this.

Upgrading to the stainless lines probably wouldn't hurt either. Probably stiffen things up a bit to just add to what you are after.

As for stopping ability, I now clear off the seats if I stomp on the brakes. I actually worry about planting the front bumper into the road surface. Some of the best money that I have spent on the car.

If you have the 17" wheels, you can also replace the ST215 calipers that are on there now with the larger ST225 caliper. All of the hardware lines up exactly, so it is a simple bolt-on swap.

Do these calipers you're talking about come on the newer 13' and up Focus?
