Default Broken bracket rear suspension

I just purchased some rhino ramps and while searching under the car for any damage I didn't know about I noticed between the gas tank and the rear axle there is a metal rod that that is shaped like an elongated U, has ball and sockets on each end and is also attached to two round clamps on the left and right side. Those round clamps are attached to brackets that are welded to the frame. The passenger side bracket has broken and it looks like I'm going to have to have it welded. Does anyone know what this assembly is called, what the metal rod is?

Jaguila, from what you are describing, that is sounding like the tie down brackets for when the car gets shipped. Let me look at my car just to confirm. Those are really only needed if you are getting your car towed on a flatbed or having it shipped over seas.
