Howdy,
The plastic flip-up panel (R/H Hinge) has broken on my 2004 X-type.

Does anyone have a used replacement unit I could buy ?
I don't need the wood veneer.... just the black plastic frame/assembly that bolts in place under the front centre console. Thanks.

Alternately, if anyone knows the Jaguar Part Number for this item - I would be grateful.

 

Mine was broke when I bought the car. As I don't smoke I just leave it closed. It fits fine on one hinge. But I feel your pain! If I could find a cheap replacement I'd do it.

 

My car came with the no smoking option and has an open storage area with rubber mat instead.

After looking around for a used spare (found 1 on eBay - he wanted $120)
I decided to remove the unit and review the nature of the problem.

It seemed to me that the broken hinge-arm could be repaired (superglue) and so I attended to it - very carefully...... All is working again now - and I'm so relieved.
