Default Build Sheet

Well I picked up my '02 X-Type on the 30th of April, worked on the steering issue that night, found & fixed the problem Sunday morning, drove it 7 miles to confirm the fix, parked it and flew to Schenectady NY this morning on business...
So sad to say I can only attempt to get profoundly educated on her while I'm away...
Toward that end, is there a site you can go to see the build sheet based off of your VIN. My X has no paperworkso i'm in the dark about what came on this car
An example of what i'm driving at, is i thought she had the revesre sensor system, but backing up to the wall never set off any warning...
Any & all info would be greatly appreciated
Cheers
Gary

You can contact a local dealer with your vin and they will most likely be able to give you a printout of what the car came with new.

I know it's a bit cheeky to ask favors after only being on the forum for a few days but i'm out of town on business & don't have free time during the day...
Is there someone on this forum that I could contact to request a build sheet. This would allow me to get to know my Jag better while i'm away

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated
Cheers
Gary

Default Mirrors

Well it's been 2 full weeks since i last saw my cat... spend my evenings reading & learning all i can about her. Newest interest is whether she has the folding mirrors...
So with that in mind; Is there anyone here who could pull a build sheet for me...
Still two more weeks til I get home to even see her

Cheers

Since I wasn't having the luck I'd hope for here, I e-mailed Dan @ Nalley Jag.
He graciously provided me with the Vehicle Details (build sheet)
Just wanted to publically thank Dan for helping me out
Cheers

What does the build sheet look like? Can you can it and put her up? I'd be interested.

Ok so I requested a build sheet from Jaguar USA and this is the response that I got.

Thank you for contacting the Jaguar Customer Relationship Center. I appreciate your inquiry. We are unable to provide replacement window stickers. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions or require additional information, please feel free to contact us at 1-800-4-JAGUAR, option 9, or by e-mail.

As you can see they say that they can’t get such a thing.

Easier to just go to a dealer with proof of ownership and your VIN. They can pull it up for you. How do I know?

Notice they even had the updated mileage of when I had my repair done there.

I went around and around with Jaguar and two dealers in Colorado to obtain what is called a DDW
It seems no one wanted to help.
I was able to get some partial information, however my main concern is when my motor may have been replaced as it has a later manufacture date then my car.
I was looking for the original engine serial number.

What I had asked for.

I was wondering if you could either provide for me or tell me where I can obtain what is called a DDW (Direct Dealer Warranty) document in PDF format from Topix.
I'm told it will show the original vehicle configuration when manufactured and also provide the engine serial number, which is what I am looking for.

Vehicle VIN: SAJDA42C12NA26789
After checking my engine serial number it is indicating it was manufactured approximately 6 months after he car was made.

Vehicle Mfg Date: 11/01
Engine Serial Number: 020424 2045 (Which i'm told would be April 24, 2002)

Sad when people cannot step up to help.
