Not exactly a great first post. How about some clarification on what you are looking for.

Default Looking for this

The car was totaled and I was looking for a report (such as a VIN search from one of the reporting bureaus) as to when and where it happened

The problem is my credit card is maxed out with a payment that just went out but will not be credited in time. I am supposed to pick up the drivetrain from this vehicle today. I have the cash but cannot run a carfax or autocheck and was asking anyone if they had the info as to what the true mileage was when the car was totaled. I was told one thing and wanted to verify. But a wise a_s answer like yours is uncalled for. You are a pompous you know what. Thank you for your help. Go eat you weannie!

If the fluid was changed every 30K to 40K shouldn't this tranny last at least 150K to 175K?

I think it is very unlikely the transmission fluids were changed regularly. Remember the tranny was marketed as a 'sealed' unit. Most owners won't pay the cost to do the service dealer, nor DIY or shop performed, especially since there's no definitive 3rd party fluid that will direclty take the place of jag spec fluid. With those miles, I wouldn't even buy it even IF the supplier could provide evidence of regular fluid changes. Thats just me.

LOL,Thanks for being honest(credit card) I know alot of the older models have a Chevrolet Turbo 350 Trans...They are notorious for there failure. You would be better off having yours rebuilt.IMO

Thanks all you who actually tried to help. My payment did make it through for Saturday and I was able to run an Autocheck on it (I used to use carfax but their policies and pricing is a bit much so I use their competition - who actually catches more it seems.
The car had as you can see 123K miles, not the 20K the seller was stating. I saved thousands by not purchasing. My 2000 VDP trans gave up at 131,000 and I was hoping to swap out the whole drivetrain. I suppose I will be getting the trans rebuilt instead. Thanks once again to those that helped.
