I am thinking about buying an 02 2.5 xtype 5 speed manual with 36k miles...i test drove it today and it drove great..i love the car..im not a mechanic so i couldnt say what kind of condition it is in from just driving it and looking at it..i might be just rushing the issue but i want to get this car before the weekend and my credit union is closed on the weekends so the only way i could do this is to finalize everything tomorrow but the shop doesnt have any appointments until monday...the thing is, the car has an extended warranty until june 6, 2008 so i figured if i buy the car now and get it inspected in the next few weeks and if there is a problem i could have the warranty take care of it while its still under warranty..the car only has 36k miles for a 6 year old car and she has all maintence records since she bought it in 2002..it has been regularly serviced twice a year as she showed me all the paperwork...do you think it would be safe to buy it now then get it looked at later??

 

Is there a way to write into the bill of sale that it is contingent upon a clean bill of health from your mechanic by a certain date?
