A/C compressor

If you've never done it before I'd take it to an independant garage. Labor should only be a few hours as it's only dropping the engine splash shield, removing the 4 mounting bolts on the compressor, disconnecting one electrical connector, serpentine belt, and two a/c hoses.
For the stuff that needs to be replaced, besides the compressor/clutch assembly itself ($110 e-bay) anytime you open up your a/c system it's best to change out the pressure hose with dryer ($20 e-bay) on the system, draw a vacuum on the entire system to remove any moisture, and refil with the correct amount of refridgerant and oil.
Plus dumping your a/c charge into the atomosphere isn't legal in most places and could get you into trouble.
