Norri, if I'm reading JTB00183NAS1 correctly, it's possible to flip that AC valve without removing the compressor? Just evacuate system, flip valve, reseal, and recharge system?

Wish I would have tried this before replacing the compressor on our S Type!

ok, I'm daft here.
From what I m reading, you remove the valve, then the spring comes out. Now they want me to put the valve in first & the spring on the outside??? then the cover?

It is not a misprint in the bulletin? You remove the spring from under the valve and put it on top of the valve? Has anyone done this or had it done and it works? Is it a manufacturing error in the first place?

Did you ever get an answer?

Is it a misprint in the bulletin? You remove the spring from the underside of the valve and put it on the topside of the valve? Has anyone done this or had it done and it works? Is it a manufacturing error in the first place?
