Default a/c problem..I think

So Im getting a P0778 code gearbox fault looked into (a different story for a different day) and right around the passenger side of the motor near the foglight. Air gushes out.....it remind me of nitrous discharge. it lasted about 5 secs we moved the car back and there was circle (about 6in diameter) of neon green/yellow fluid on the ground(a/c oil i think) and a few spots of red coolant......i have a 04 xtype sport with 88k mi should i be saving my money for a big repair on top of this seloniod failure im having with the tranny

Passenger side means "ABSOLUTELY NOTHING" for a British car (RHD or LHD).
Please state Right side or Left side OR put your location in your profile.
We cannot guess where you live.

The A/C pressure will get high enough for the releif valve on the compressor to 'vent' if the FANS are not pulling air over the condenser.
Check the fan operation. That could also cause some coolant to be discharged.
