A/C strange issue on 05 x-type
I have a 2005 north american x-type. I have just replaced the a/c compressor, drier and condenser. After putting it all back together found out that Jag has there own o-rings that have to be special ordered. Took it all apart again to put the new o-rings on. Then had a hole in one of the lines, took it apart and put it back together for the third time. Then vacuumed it down for several hours and made sure it held and charged the system. It is working and blows cold but not always, You can be sitting still or driving and it will go from cold to warm ( like you shut it off) then get cold again over and over. This will happen with or without the auto climate control on. If it was only under acceleration I would look for some vacuum leak but it is to random and happens every couple minuets. Any ideas ????

There is a pressure relief valve in the lower rear of the compressor; there is a service bulletin that says to remove it, turn it around, and put it back in.
Downside is vacuuming the system again.
Upside is that that --usually-- fixes the intermittent or warming up at low rpms issue.
edited to add: both new compressors that I've had had the valve installed as stock...so a new compressor is likely in the stock configuration
