Caliper Compression tool size?
Hi ladies and gents
this is my first post to the forum
just wondering if you might be able to clear something up for me
I have searched your forum and looked at various threads on this issue. whether to use a "cube" on a compression tool kit.
Im looking to change the discs/pads on my dads car next week and am wondering would this compressor tool kit have the right adapter for a 2.5 x type
BRAKE CALIPER PISTON REWIND WIND BACK TOOL KIT 22 PIECES, car service tool | eBay
Not really too keen on the cube idea as some have suggested you have to be built like the hulk :P which i can tell you im not!!
thanks in advance for any help

In the product description on the page you linked to it states:
"...The tool kit will suit most modern cars including: Alfa Romeo, Audi, Austin, BMW, Citroen, Ford, Honda, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mazda, Mercedes, Mini, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Vauxhall, Opel, Renault, Rover, Saab, Subaru, Toyota, Volkswagen to name but a few."
Although it further mentions only the Jag XJ6 and XK40, the X-Type is as much Ford as Jaguar - I bet you are covered.
If not (which I doubt), you could always return it!
That's a pretty good price, by the way.

I'd guess you will be covered, it is a pretty comprehensive kit.
Now you just need to pop over to the new members area and post your intro.
