Default camshaft postion sensor location

i have a 2004 3.0 x type. it has an error code of I believe p0335 which said camshaft postion sensor circuit A. can any one help me with a picture of were the sensor is and which one is circuit A? please help !!!!!! thank you for any help

It might be a battery going bad or a bad ground connection.

2004xtype, the camshaft sensors are on the "backside" of the engine. I am not talking about against the firewall, what is meant by this is where the engine meets the tranny. So, in the case of our cars, if you stand by the driver's front wheel and look at the engine, you are looking at the back side of the engine. If you look on the side of the heads facing you, you should see a sensor there. In your case, the sensor is tucked under the intake. SO, odds are, you will need to remove the intake to get a good look at things.

what side is circuit a?

Circuit A is the side against the firewall. So, you will have to most likely lift the intake manifold off of the car to access the sensor. Might be able to see it with a flash light before you just start ripping into things.

A is normally associated with cylinders 1, 3, and 5. B is with 2, 4, and 6.
