Just wondered if it’s possible to replace my 3.0 ltr V6 with an automatic gearbox that’s broken with a manual box off a 2.1 V6. Both 2002 X-Type.

Even if the input shafts are the same, what about the ecu etc?
Being FWD, the 2.1 gearbox does not have an output for the transfer box, so no it can't be (sensibly) be put in a 3.0 AWD car, manual or auto.
