Guys,

I'm installing a cargo carrier on the X and found this part. this is located underneath the drum/holder which carries the spare tire.

Can you please let me know what is it? I am willing to cut it out as it's acting as an obstruction.

Thanks for your reply, it looks like I will cut it out, and in case the car needs to be towed, I will use the hitches/holes from the hitch receiver.
