CAN BUS hard problem [Please Help]
Hello, I have a 2005 diesel estate manual jag x-type with an intermittent problem that lately is very present.
The temp, speed and rpm needles falls down, the lights of ABS, hand brake, engine failure, and orange alert light are on, the odometer shows first speed control not available, and seconds after "km ------", and the climate console goes crazy and indicates a communication failure. The engine doesn't run smoothly and I haven't engine ralenti help in low rpm. The lights, power windows, and all security indications works right, even radio and nav. If I put off engine and on again it works right again until the next failure.
I have measured voltage on the lines CAN HIGH and CAN LOW and also resistance. The resistance was 60 ohms between the two lines and 120 if I disconnect the ABS module . Resistance between each line and mass was infinite except when the fault was present, gave the CAN LOW 0
Voltages were correct except when the fault was present, the CAN LOW fell to 0.
I have reviewed the instrument cluster and the engine control unit looking welds hollow but look good and haven't lead to ground. I mounted another instrument cluster but also fails exactly the same. If I disconnect the ABS unit failure remains.
I have extracted error codes with an OBD cable and are as follows:
P0500 speed sensor failure
P1260 Theft detected
P1637 Problem ABS module.
P1638 Short-circuit PATS
P1000
U1039 Faulty vehicle speed sensor
P0641 sensor reference Voltage A circuit open
P1699 CAN failure climate
I have cleaned all connectora, looked all wires, and all looks very good but problem still. I'm thinking that problem would be at the General Electric Module but I'm bored of searching.
Have any idea to look for?
Thank you for your help.
