This sucks....im leaving to meet up with a client, im pressing the Brake and I get out of Park. You think the release mechanism got messed up?

 

Ha I bypassed the mechanism...seems theres like a plastic nipple on the actuator that unlocks it. I just opened up the J gate and manual pushed back the plastic lock piece. The only bad this is that now i have to be careful not to pull the lever accidentally. That is All! [8D][/align]

 

Sometimes the wheels roll back a little after you put the car in park and this causes it to become harder! If you put the car in neutral every time and then put the E brake up before putting it in park, the lever will lock in park, but it wont cause the shifter to lock hard! If you then put the car in reverse or park before leaving and then putting the ebrake down, you will feel the shifter be much smoother!
