I need help i am having trouble locking my doors with my remote. I tried turning the car on and tried again but it does not lock the doors. Although the car enables the alarm. dont know what to do... Please help!!

 

oh.. i forgot to say that i own a 2004 x type

 

Try replacing the battery in the remote.

 

2002-2004 X-Type keyfob transmitters are known to have Internal Chip Faults as per TSB XT501-10am released in 02-2004. Basically if the battery is good then the transmitter is 'toast'. Jaguar recommends replace and reprogramme the transmitter to the vehicle.
