Okay, I am new to forums so I hope this is in the right place. I did try to find a thread before posting this, but had no luck, so please forgive me if I am posting about something already covered.

My query is about the hands free phone button most, if not all, x-types have. Mine does not work, it's never worked in the 7 years I've had the car, but it's not bothered me before as I don't like to talk and drive, I just presumed it was an "option" not fitted to my vehicle. I believe that a module is required so firstly where would the module be located in the car if it was fitted? and secondly could I just simply buy a module and fit it, if none was fitted?

On a similar matter, could I also do the same with a Satellite navigation system? By which I mean can I buy the sat nav/heater control display and replace my current system - standard heater. Will I also need a module to complete the set up.

Any advice is appreciated.

The Sat nav install is pretty straight forward as I suspected, now to hopefully find out about the phone
