Car will not go into gear!
I would like to know too?
I actually did pour some of the trans fluid in my power steering, but did not suck it out and do the total refill. Might do that next week along with oil change and filter.
After doing plugs and injectors last year and all gaskets was getting 24 miles per gallon.

The 5mm hex plug is on the bottom of the gearbox.
Page 29 and 30 of the TSB XT307-S941 describes how to top-up the fluid level.
It is the SAME gearbox and filling procedure for the VW Jettas with the 09A JF506E JATCO gearbox.
Since there are hundreds of thousands of VW Jettas with this trans it might be easier to interweb search the procedure for that.
You don't have to discard the plug and sealing washer if you don't have a new one, I re-use them at least once if I need to. Any generic aluminum or copper washer will reseal the plug.

Hello All,
Did second drain of trans fluid looks a little better than the first drain but not as red as I would like. Plan is to do another one next week. That will be my third and I am hoping for a big improvement in clean color. If not what should I do? The flush after all, or take to get reconditioned on the trans?
Also first drain only gave up 2 quarts the second was right at 3 1/2 so that was good.

Gee, there's total of 9.3 quarts of transmission fluid so what you're seeing is normal for the mixing of old and new fluid. Do the third drain and refill. You've made big progress since your opening post, yes? After this third service I'd do it annually and that should be good.
Yes with the help of you and Bob and a couple others I have very surprised at the positive results that have occurred so far. Plan to stay on top of the care of her from this point forward as long as I can.
I also changed out oil and filter and drained the anti freeze but need to follow up on that because on base the aldata were not correct for this model.
