Hi,

I have an X-Type Estate with the factory Nav head unit and both the single slot CD and the CD Changer, and have noticed that you can get a cassette tape deck (factory from an earlier model) that seems to just be the lower part of the stereo on eBay for not too much - my question is, can this be retrofitted to my car or will the nav system not be able to interact with it?

Only as with the CD changer in the back would be nice to have a cassette up front to start listening to some of my old mixtapes again!

Yes you can swap your CD player for the cassette player, it’s a direct replacement
