Cd changer cable locations
Hi all,
Just bought a used cd changer for my x type (with touch screen nav). Gone to fit it and can only find the small three pin plug?? I cant see the optical plug anywhere, is it something i'll need to buy? Can anyone tell me where the cable runs from and to? Is it a seperate cable that goes into the back of the dvd rom?

The D2b (fibre-optic) cables have to be connected in a loop so you will need to buy a D2b cable to replace the one on your system so it has the spare for the CD changer keeping everything in the loop.
If you already had a D2b cable with a spare connector nothing would work as the spare wouldnt be in the loop.
You would need to contact your dealer and tell them you have added a Cd changer so need the correct D2b cable given the other (if any modules) you have in the boot
