Oh yeah, they did come with center caps but they wouldn't look right on my car which is why I'm getting my vinyl guy to make something to cover up their logo.

How about this? It's similar to the Mercury Cougar logo used in the 80's and 90's but using the leaper head in stead. Too bad the growler can't be used, because it works so well as a center cap.

I like it, I'll see what I can't do with it. Thanks!

Now you're talkin'!

I still havent been able to find a place that can make me a set of caliper adapters to fit the STR brakes... Well I have but I'm not about to spend $800 on just the adapters which is what was quoted to me by a local machine shop.

Yeah, $800 is a little steep. If you know how to take measurements you can measure everything up and draw it in CAD. From there emachineshop.com it. Get a set made out of resin and test fit them. From there have a set made in 6061 Al or something. The more you have made the cheaper they will be. Get the measurements right and start a group buy. I might be interested in that...

chknhwk, if you are still looking for center cap ideas, what size is the opening in the center. If it is 2.25" in diameter, then you can find some interesting Jag caps on E-bay for fairly cheap that would do what you are after. The ones I am thinking of off the top of my head run $12 each roughly (depending on what you can get them for) and they have a raised face. These were normally used on the older XJ series vehicles, but they will fit any rim with the 2.25" center. That way the rims would give more of a factory appearance. You could do a test fit with the caps off of your old factory rims to make sure that everything would work. I am looking at getting a set of the raised face caps for my X-Type as the center caps on my car are starting to fade and I think those would be a nice upgrade.

Thermo, I'm not 100% sure on the opening size but I know it's larger than what the stock X center caps fit. They did not fit in the hole, too small.

No way... I have no idea how to take those kinds of measurements, much less draw anything in CAD. I ran a few group buys in the past, honestly they are huge nightmares. Anytime you come up with an awesome product and post up to see who's interested there are always 500 people who want the part but when it comes to actually forking up the cash everyone backs down. 95% of people on car forums are all talk, only 5% actually walk the walk. Almost like they expect you to make the parts and sell it to them for nothing just because we're on the same forum..

So yeah, I won't be leading any group buys anytime soon but if someone with the skills/knowledge/patience to pull off a set of STR Brembo adapters wants to do a group buy you'll get your first deposit from me.

^x2. I've done a few group buys for some offroad jeep parts. Never again. Always got stuck or holding the bag, even by people that I actually knew.

Imagine having a garage full of enough carbon fiber aero to make NASA jealous and dealing with the logistical nightmare of transporting/shipping these things... No truck, not even a real trunk (had an AE86 coupe at the time). At least brake adapters would be small/easy to ship. Somebody grab the ***** on this one and let's make it happen!

Yeah, I did some group buys on Contour.org for some custom cf stuff I had made. No desire to do it again.

I think the blue leaper would set off chrome, what color are your calipers? I have the dark metalic blue Jaguar with the stock rims, but I went with red calipers and it set off the stock rims really nice.

My calipers are rust-colored. LOL No, they're stock as I haven't done anything with them yet. I need to, at the very least, clean them up a bunch so I can put some temperature-sensitive paint strips on them.
