Hey man you never know...when something goes wrong and things stop working many times you never even check the easiest things. Right off the bat you think the worst and it ends up not being as bad as you thought! Usually when things go bad you just get super frustrated and could care less how easy it is just want to flip out first! Thats my way!

I know man! I usually flip out and get extremely mad, and then when I fix my problem(usually small), I'm all happy and smiling and wanting to take y wife out to celebrate my mechanical success.

Err me too sorta.....lol
But, I got a temper too
I remember when I was first married, think I was about 28 at the time. Well, my father in law was Leuitenant Colonel etc etc.......good with his hands, could fix anything blah blah blah.
Needless to say he didn't like me and I didnt like him and we had a few run ins over his daughter......lol
We had a problem with the vacuum cleaner, stopped working and we had to borrow one from them at the time until we got ours fixed. Wife kept saying dad will fix it..........I said NO I'll fix it. Eventually I had a look at it, spent ages trying to figure out how it just came apart, let alone try to fix it.....lol
I was getting madder n madder till eventually, there was a smart comment from my wife.........well, I took a 4lb hammer and I opened thatvacuum right up no problem in a matter of seconds......lol
There were pieces everywhere, big bits, small bits etc etc
I calmly put them all into a plastic carrier bag, gave them to my wife and said........." here, give this to your dad, see if he can fix this?"

LOL
He couldn't
I swear..............a true story!

Nice Jimmy! I'd do the same thing...guess that old saying is true "great minds think alike!" Isn't that your EX-wife you are speaking of?

I think he confused his words from "his first marriage", to when "he was first married". Great story though Jimbo!

What'd bo do on you? I was saying because it seems that when the father in law is the do-everything is GOD that the stuff never works out. Nothing personal! Love that you did that with the vaccum I would have done the same thing!

Ha, it's a problem I've never had to deal with in my life! I've had four relationships in my life that have been long enough to recognize as a pretty long relationship, and none of my ex's have been close to their fathers!!! I still have had to deal with the mothers, but they're easier to win over since they usually are trying to deal with being a single parent with my girlfriends' younger siblings!
