I searched and all i could find was a few things on the stype and xj8. My cigar lighter blew a fuse, and i replaced it with another 15 amp mini. As soon as i tried the lighter, the light ring around it went out and the replacement fuse blew...The radio lights also flickered. Is there another fuse that pertains to this circuit or do i just have a short in the wire? i replaced the fuse a second time and it blew that one as well. Any help would be appreciated.

 

make sure th efemale and male end arent full of crap.. if still shorting may need replacement or may have a wiring issue..

 

did the lighter stop working as well or just the light ring?

 

the lighter stopped working first, but now they are both dead.

 

Make sure that nothing has fallen into the lighter hole. Happened to me once already, when my dear wife put the wrapper to some doublemint gum in the hole and it caused a short. Almost choked her to death. HAHAHAHA!
