Default Cold Weather High Pitch Noise

hey guys, i know i saw something on here a while ago but can't seem to find it. i read something about a high pitch noise in cold weather when doing speeds 30-50. after the car warms and run for 5-10 miles, the noise subsides. i thought i saw something about a part/piece that needed to be oiled/greased? please let me know if you have had this problem, what it might be, and what was done to fix it.

thanks

jmault, I think you are talking about the propeller bearing. It is a bearing that supports the rear drive shaft since it is a 2 piece shaft. All you need is a grease gun with a needle attachment and you get under the car and slide the needle into the bearing and squirt in some grease. It is advisable to use Termaline grease. That will resist being washed away by water. You will need to insert the needle at about a 45 degree angle to get it in the deepest that you can. If in doubt, add more grease. Worst case, when the car starts moving, it will push out the extra.
