I have an 09 X Type (the Sovereign version) and have just tried for the first time to switch on the 'convenience lights- when the front lights are supposed to come on if you push the button on the fob; I tried and nothing happened, and I was outside the car at the time.

Does this 'feature' need to be programmed in? If so it doesn't say so (but it didn't say that about 'Global Opening' either and mine will only go up and not down, still not too much of a problem in Edinburgh).
