Well this may sound strange but this has happened twice now in the last 6 months once while I was driving and last night when my wife had her X-type out. I had a sudden surge of acceleration from a standstill and actually ran into my garage door before I knew what was happening. Last night my wife was visiting a friend and drove into a parking spot and the car suddenly jumped ahead full blast off the parking lot into a grassy area . It happens so fast you don't know what to do. We're both not insane and never had a problem with her car. Is this possible something is making it do this periodically?
