Does replacement ABS module need to be programmed?
After diagnosing C1175 fault I decided that it is probably bad ABS module. I got one from junk yard but didn't have time to install it yet.
Yesterday I disconnected old one and tried to start engine. Engine started (good!), but odometer mileage disappeared (bad!).
I hooked up ABS module and odometer was fine again.
About diagnosing code c1175:
disconnecting sensor didn't change code and there were not short to battery or ground found. Bosch ABS modules die all the time, I replaced many of them on different cars.
