Hello,

The doors on my X-Type 2002 will not lock when pressing the key fob or locking a front door on the inside. When I lock a front door, I hear a click of a switch telling the doors to lock, but they don't actually do it. When I push the key fob, the security system enables but does not disable.

When I manually lock all the doors, they will unlock when pushing the key fob. I currently have the #24 engine fuse pull so that I can manually lock all of the doors without them unlocking on me until I figure this out.

Please help on diagnosis and fixes!

When you try to lock, do you get an ERROR tone????????
Is the BOOT OPEN message displayed???
Is there a KEY IN IGNITION tone when the key is out???

-I do not get an error tone when i try to lock the door. The security system activates, but the doors do not lock.
-I do not get a boot open message.
-I also do not get a key in ignition tone when the key is out.

I don't know what else to do. I've tried lubing the ignition cylinders and the door locks.
