Where is the radiator drain plug on 2002 X-Type?

 

Jeramia, lay down under the front bumper of the car. Look at the bottom side of the bumper under where the headlight is. You should see an opening about 3x4" in size. If you look up in that hole, you should see the bottom corner of the radiator and a small plastic piece (about 1/2" in diameter) with a screw head to it. That is your drain valve.

 

Thanks Thermo. I did post about my climate control panel of 6 switches not working(don't know what happened to that post) but I have no a/c, recirc or heated rear screen or temp control(always hot) or air direction. All happened the morning after I backflushed my blocked matrix. Any ideas?

 

I would first check the fuses for your A/C. That is the most likely situation. The coolant and the panel not working are two independent things. So, I would be looking at them from the point of 2 separate issues and focusing on each on independently.

 

But I also noticed, last night, that this panel also does not illuminate when the lights are on!? So this whole panel is not working since I flushed the matrix. There must be a connecting factor, I just can't believe that all these things have suddenly gone wrong independently, could they ?
