Default Driver Seat Power Adjust doesn't work

Just picked up a 2002 X TYPE and the driver seat power does not work at all. It's funny because the seat is an almost total recline mode. There is no sound from the motors when engaged leading me to think it's the fuse.

I joined this forum last night and have found the info invaluable.

If it's not the fuse ( fingers crossed ) - I suppose it's a matter of taking the seat out and checking the motor assembly.

I'm a novice at this so any input would be most appreciated - Thanks!

checked the fuses and they seem okay - have seat out and everything looks well connected - no wires torn or frayed - perhaps I'm looking at the wrong fuse - M66 is noted as the fuse for this in the handbook but it doesn't specify what slot that is in - would you know - I appreciate your input and help...

Was looking at the wrong fuse - got the right one swapped out ( it was blown ) and all is well in the world - thanks for pointing me in the right direction...

Hi Redcrow1,

I have just bought an X Type (loving it) and have the same problem. Could you tell me which fuse you changed so i can take a look at mine.

The fuse you are looking for is F66, a 30 AMP fuse in the interior fuse panel.
The fuse numbers are printed in very small numbers on the edges of the fuse box.
The fuses are much easier to access and change if you puyll out the little cubby in the dash board.

Default Fuse Location

Thank you redcrow1. I looked this evening and the fuse is good (I put a new one in anyway just in case) so the problem must be elsewhere.

Do you have any idea what it could be? The motors are not making a noise like they are trying to work as some other posts have suggested. What are the chances of both motors going?

Any suggestions gratefully received.

If the motors don't appear to be working at all I would check the connectors. There is a large plug just at the front of the seat. The plug has a bolt in the center that mounts and connects it. Reach behind the plug and make sure each of the connectors is fully inserted and tight. The wires coming out of the back go to the various elements within the seat and can be pulled loose from the seat moving back and forth.
I would also check the the plug is tight behind the seat controls.
