dsc system failure
Hello,
I have a Jaguar X type, 2.0 D, 2004
Every time I start the engine an error appears on the Lcd screen that says "DSC system failure", with a yellow light. After 1 or 2 second the warning disappears. The car has no problems, it drive perfectly, but this warning is annoying me...
I tried swiching off the DSC, but when I reignite the engine the warning appears again for about 1 or 2 second.
Should I worry about it? It's a big problem? Anyone know what to do?
please help me

I've had this on my car when there is low voltage. The thing is that the sensors for the dsc only communicate when they get the right voltage. When they don't get enough voltage they don't communicate. Normally the dsc fault is one of the first signs of a bad battery or low voltage in the electrical system.
It's all good! You could probably live with it for awhile, but you never know when it's gonna crap out on you that way. If you have any other questions about the xtype, just start a thread here. We love to help out!
