DSC System Unavailable light after replacing speed sensor
After battling the car with a C1175 code (for the left-rear speed sensor, not being sure if it was the tone ring or sensor), ABS/Check Engine light stayinng on and, DSC not available, I took apart the speed sensor and saw a bit of the sensor knicked off at the bottom.
I replaced the speed sensor, which allowed me to reset the ABS and Check Engine light. The only thing concerning me is, DSC Not Available is still on.
To be fair, I have only driven on the car a few miles, at city speed (25-35mph).
Any idea if the DSC System Unavailable will disappear, maybe driving highway speeds or, does the car need to be driven more for it to reset? or maybe other resolutions for the system to reset?
P.S: I do have the traction on/off button and, pressing that does not do anything.
Thank you.

Pull the sensor back out and shine a light in the hole and inspect the tone ring. If a bit of the sensor was chipped off then the chances of the tone ring being broken are also high. The tone ring once broken can move on the axle so when looking at the ring thru the hole turn the axle and make sure it’s still inline with the hole.
Had the same problem and it threw a C1165 code that turned out to be for a defective yaw sensor which is located under the shift assembly in the center console. Easy replacement if you have an automatic transmission, giant PIA if it's a manual. You can find them on ebay fairly reasonably or new for almost $ 500! Guess which way I went.

I have an automatic transmission.
Also make sure not to see any shiny spots on the ring. This could also be the issue. Happened on a car I was working on. Had to replace the axle do to heavy rust coming through where the ring connects to the shaft.
