EG4 Valve issues on X Type 2.2D Non DPF
Hi. I have a 2009 X Type 2.2D (No DPF). I had the EGR valve fail and the car lost power (wouldn't accelerate or maintain its speed) and would not restart afterwards. The old valve was very Carboned up and was stuck well open, the valve was very loose (suspect it was being blown fully open by the pressure of recirc exhaust gases). The fault code logged at the time was EGR Sensor "A" Circuit High. I have replaced the EGR valve with a New Delphi unit but unfortunately this hasn't solved the problem fully. The car now starts and drives without any apparent issues other than the following fault codes: EGR Sensor "A" Circuit and EGR Flow Insufficient Detected. The 2nd fault code has only shown up on 2 occasions whereas the first code shows virtually every time the car is started cold within 60-90 seconds and once cleared remains off whilst the car is running. Does the car require a recalibration procedure to learn the new EGR valve or does the above suggest either a faulty new EGR valve or a fault elsewhere. Many thanks Steve

Hi v8steve,
Just a heads up......You might not get much feedback from this particular Jaguar forum as it is predominately frequented by North American members.
There are a few of us strays out in the colonies that participate here too along with some of your fellow Brits, but we are likely in the minority.
The reason for advising you of this is that the diesel models did not make it to the North American market and I am not aware of many that made it down into the Pacific region markets either.
So despite this being a very active forum with some great minds and helpful people, you might find more experience for your engine/transmission configuration by checking out the other Jag forums that have higher membership within the European sales markets.
When it comes to other running gear, suspension, electrics etc which will likely be common across the build platform, you will find the members here will be more than keen to offer their experience.
