EGR blanking plate. delete.
I have a Jag 2.2D 2008 premium sport, i want to use a blanking plate to delete the EGR , but there are 2 types of blanking plates. EURO 3, or Euro 4 , with hole in centre to stop engine warning light from coming on. can anyone tell me whitch one i need ??.
With the 2.2D you will need the plate with the hole, but you may still get problems with the EML (no limp mode though) The 2.2 has a fully electronic EGR(EURO 4) whilst the 2.0 only has an electric sensor!! (EURO 3)
Some people do Keith, some don't, an individual choice I guess.
I have ran many diesels and have 7 in the family at the moment between myself, my wife, sons and daughter, SIL etc
None of these use the EGR delete blanking plate, they're all looked after and serviced regularly and have no issues in that regard.
Your car, your money, your choice though obviously
