Default Electrical/ engine problem

Hello everyone, I own a Jaguar X-Type 2.0 tdci. Recently i am seeing that the RPM are moving constantly/simultanosly from 800 to 1000. Also when this thing happens the lighting system is also having some problems, getting lightner-brightner by himself. I would like some ideas to know what is happening or what is causing all that. Thanks in advance guys.

Spiro Drago, from the sounds of things, your idle air control valve for the engine is sticking and that is causing the engine to hunt like you are seeing. A good cleaning with say some carb cleaner. If you car doesn't have an IAC valve, then odds are you are looking at fuel pressure regulator that is sticking and the fuel rail pressures are going all over the place, altering the amount of fuel going into the engine.

Last post maybe? This usually has an accompanying flashing glow plug light, but not always. EDIT = forgot to post the thread link, so here is the video of what I thought may help. Pretty common problem with diesels.
