Unhappy hi, new member with rear lights electrical problem

Hi,

I'm new and have always repaired my many jags through the years. My problem now is driving me nuts.

The brake lights went out and I checked and verified bulbs and fuses. Strange, yet the tail lights worked. When checking continuety of the brake lights at the bulbs the driver side tail lights stopped working along with the driver side turn signal.

I can pull the fuses to the rear tail lights and turn signal on the pass side but that doesn't turn them off!!! The right side turn works and all turn off with the switch.

I switched in a friends combined lamp control module with no change.

The high safety brake light works.
Any help would be welcomed.

greg

You confused the hell out of me, and I think that makes two of us.

Plug everything back together and post an inventory list of all external lights, including sidemarker and license lamps, and which ones are working or not.

Last time I tried this, the owner gave me wrong information and thus led me down another path in the wiring diagram. Twenty posts later he realized he had misinformed me. I'm only staying for two this time.

Not enough info, I'll pass.

Ask sparkenzap.

My guess is there's alot of stuff missing from the place you work, since you have no idea what an inventory list is.

And you're quite welcomed for the referral of a poster who might be willing to help you. Punk.

Default here,s why

"You confused the hell out of me, and I think that makes two of us."

who the hell are you to fly off the handle from a simple mistake done by someone eager to learn of a new web resource such as this, looking for help and who forgot to add the year and model... ?

I was never confused about describing my problem and your assertion of confusion is provacative and you should know better....

You caught JTO on a bad day, I am sure. He is quite helpful around here, especially for a pro (which I certainly am not), but I understand his frustration when someone posts bad data and you spend time try and sort it out. If you still need help, I think we can help you, but we do need accurate info.
