Default engine causing car to shake like mad

good evening ladies and gentleman.

came accross your lovely forum whilst trying to diagnose an issue im currently having with my 2007 x type 2.0 diesel.

for some bizarre reason when at cruising speed (say 60 mph, 2k revs) the car shakes violently, there are no stored DTC and no warning lights. If you let off the throttle or accelerate then the juddering stops but you cant maintain a steady speed without it shaking violently unless you hold it at 70mph or above. no weird noises that would indicate split hoses, no turbo whine (it boosts fine) and no smoke, plus a healthy 50-60mpg depending how i drive.

it almost feels like a misfire but ive had the car on SDD and nothing is flagged up, ive serviced the vehicle with new filters and fluids, checked battery voltage, had the EGR blanked and mapped out (thinking that this was the cause) and none of this makes any difference, however during a 50 mile run today at around 70mph the car is fine, it purely seems to shake violently between 1800 and 2200, peaking around 2000 revs.

the car has been to a local garage who checked all the pipes for leaks but couldnt diagnose the juddering, im at a bit of a loss what to do next as I would think its going to be either the turbo, injectors or fuel pump so before chucking more money into this bottomless pit I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Check the dogbone

Could also be wheel bearing(s), broken-cracked-failing shock/strut, carrier bearing, bent drive shaft (really rare), bent rim, warped rotor(s).

This will be 100% the joint on one of the drive shifts the reason I know I had exactly the same problem on mine turn out it was the driver's side drive shaft
