engine check light on with fault P0100

engine check light on with fault P0100
the message on the diagnostic says mass or volume air flow a circuit.
Can clear it but comes back on if i stall it or will last up to a week before it comes on again. Would welcome any advice. petal

Looks like you have a dirty or bad MAF - Mass Air Flow Sensor. I've attached a pic showing you where it located. Buy a can of CRC Mass Air Flow cleaner, remove the sensor, spray the sensor, replace and then clear the code. Hopefully, the code stays off. If not, replace the sensor.
Please post the results.
