Default Engine movement X-Type

Hi all,

Recently bought a used jaguar X-Type (‘03 36k miles) and noticed quite some engine movement on a cold start especially when putting it in drive or reverse with a cold engine. Movement is gone as soon as the engine is warm. Haven’t noticed a clunking sound or anything while driving. I know some visible movement is normal on different car makes and models. Just not sure if this is also the case for an X-Type or wether my engine mounts might be failing. Does anyone know what is considered normal movement for an X-Type?

Thanks

You don't say whether you have petrol or diesel, but my 60,000 mile diesel has virtually no engine movement at all.
