Default Engine Rattling Noise
My 2002 X-Tpye is making a rattling noise when i step on the gas... can anyone help i have no clue to what this is..

no, cannot help with that description....
check the front bumper... then the rear bumper,,, and failing that check everything in between!

If you dont figure it out, I would say dont step on the gas.

Maybe there is a can full of marbles under the accelerator pedal?

I just dont know ...
