Default Engine Replacement - Now missing parts!

I just had my engine replaced. We'll skip the background discussion for this thread, as right now I just want to concentrate on identifying some small missing components.

The first issue is that the wheel well splash guards are missing. My car is a 2004 US-spec model with the 3.0L and AWD. I could swear that my wheel wells came with two splash guards on the driver's side, and I'm assuming that there were the same on the passenger's side. But the Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC) shows only a front splash guard on each side. The rear guard is only on the diesel models, and thus not supposed to be common to any US-spec model. See attached screen shot from the EPC, #3 is for all X-Types, #4 is for diesel models only.

Is my memory failing me on this, or have any of you seen two splash guards in each front wheel well?

Also, there is a newly-exposed brass nut near the air cleaner - below and to the left of the air cleaner box, as you're facing the car. In the attached photo, it is right near my middle finger. Any ideas on what is supposed to be secured to this?

Well to answer you splash guard question. Yes I have them on all my cars. There is 3 parts. The main wheel well the front splash guard and the back splash guard. Ebay Item #171090909706 this is the back one on the passenger side. the picture with your finger its hard to see but I believe its a 7 mm nut for holding the wire to. Take a closer picture and I will check my car out to make sure..

Thanks,
The Dr!

There is a small bracket holding the wire loom to the engine there.

I took the air filter assembly out of the car to get a better look at that newly exposed nut. It's apparently integrated into the upper radiator hose assembly, which the shop had to replace when the old one cracked during the engine swap. Hence, the new and shiny nut. See new photo, attached.

Also, note the missing exhaust manifold heat shield. The rear one is missing, too. Apparently, the shop's newest mechanic thought they weren't needed along with the splash shields. Did I mention that he doesn't work there anymore?

Back to that upper radiator hose nut - does the bracket that you mention also provide a mounting point for the front O2 sensor harnesses? Note in the photo that mine are dangling loose.

Never mind. Found the bracket in the Jaguar electronic parts catalog - air intake mounting bracket, C2S2712. Holds up that radiator hose and the wiring loom.

At this point, I'm pretty confident that I've identified everything that's missing. Thanks for your help.
