Default Need help finding a minor part!!

Hey again everyone!

I hate to ask for so much help, but I really am stumped on this one.

The previous owner of my car clearly hit something small on the front drivers' side bumper - it was enough to minorly crack the headlamps, and the headlamp washer jet COVER is missing. I believe the part number is
LNA7051AA, though it is such a minor part that nowhere lists it. I'm wondering if I'm just out of luck and have to rip them all off and cover the holes, or maybe if someone here knows a way I could buy one? I believe the XJ8 have the same ones. Either way, they are part of the weather package and I'm Canadian so you bet everyone here has them, but of course no one has a spare!

I'll attach a picture to keep you all from scratching your heads; the washer jet appears to be intact, but is just missing the cover. If I have to I could order the whole unit but I think that would be rather pricey. Thanks!

The Part Number looks correct for the Jet Powerwash unit.

Forum sponsor S N G Barratt list it as 'special order only' which could mean it is available. UK cost is £69.97 (141 Canadian Dollars).

Yeah, they are kind-of "unobtanium" in the US as I don't know if they were even an option you could get here. I know I've never seen them.

Hi Malihide,

The Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC) confirms that the part is only available as an assembly - the cover is not available separately. The part numbers for the assemblies are:

Left hand: LNA7051AA

Right hand: LNA7050AA

Searching the LH part number at online Jaguar parts dealers:

jaguarmerriamparts.com (Merriam, KS) lists them as available at USD $93.46.

gaudinjaguarparts.com (Las Vegas, NV) lists them as available at $93.84.

If David at EverydayXJ.com doesn't have it, your best bet might be a good salvaged unit. eBay is a good place to find sellers who are parting out cars similar to yours.

Cheers,

Don

Thanks everyone, I haven't got the part yet but I've received an email with a picture of one from someone... and a few more promising sites where I could find them!

I'll let you all know how it goes, and post a picture if I can. Thanks for your help guys!

Malihide,

I made the mistake of taking Queenie through a car wash, and had my passenger side unit sheared off and destroyed. I replaced it through Gaudin for a total of $102.09, including shipping. David at everydayxj was good enough to receive it and pass it along to me with some parts and I had ordered from him. (Gaudin won't ship to Canada.)

The very good news: this unit does not require full bumper removal. Just remove the two bolts from below and pull the bumper out slightly in order to remove and reconnect the fittings. In place of screws, it has "Christmas Tree-like" posts which secure the unit very well.

Happy Hunting!

Hi Graham (@GGG),

I came across your reply in this thread and I hope you don’t mind me asking for your help.

I’m based in Italy and I’m currently looking for the following Jaguar parts for an X300:
  • LNA7051AA (left side)
  • LNA7050AA (right side)
I understand these parts are quite hard to find and possibly no longer in production.

Do you know if they are still available anywhere, or if there are any reliable sources (new or used) where I could find them?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much in advance!

G'day Rosa,

Have you tried Googling the part number? That sometimes works.

Cheers,
Jeff.

Hi,

I’ve been contacting Jaguar parts suppliers for about a month now, but no one has them, as they are no longer in production.

Forums are my last resort at this point. I would also be happy with a good used part, but I haven’t been able to find anything.

The only thing I can find is this, but it’s not sufficient:
https://blackcherryjaguar.com/produc...fbee9ad9&_ss=r

What I’m actually looking for is the complete unit, like this:

Best regards,
Rosa

Good morning,

I’ve seen this website as well. I haven’t sent any request, as Jaguar no longer produces this part. I’m looking for someone who might have it in stock or possibly a used one.

Best regards,
Rosa

I'd say best bet at this point is checking pullapart's stock for any 1994-1997, any XJ series. Past that, other junkyards, but largely you may have to call around which sucks. I've had a lot of luck as of lately having at least 1 at the yard near me. Check within an hour out also.

Default minor part

Is it a left or right hand drive? I have one from the left side of the car but there is a crack in it that might be fixable with some glue if you're interested. I'm also in Canada and have a parts car, 97 xj6
