Default Engine serial number

Hello everyone. I need to know if this is my engine serial number. I am buying some parts, amongst which is a PCV valve. There seem to be two types - one for engines with serial numbers below 173663, and one for those after.

It seems the serial numbers are six digits, so can anyone tell me which part of this number indicates the serial? I assume it's the last six digits?

Apparently early 2002s had a poorly-designed valve that allowed lots of oil to be burned. So unless you have an early MY 2002 X-Type, don't even worry about it. Go with the later part. $15 at my dealer.
